Acupuncture has been practiced in the Far East for thousands of years.

The philosophy behind the treatment is that the body’s energy flows along so-called “meridians,” which are curves or line which circulate around the body. This energy flow is call qi (pronounced, “chee”). When the qi is impaired or interrupted, illness occurs.
The acupuncturist inserts very thin needles at various points on suspected meridians to restore the qi and allow the body’s energy balance to be restored, and the illness removed. The flow of energy can be impaired or interrupted disrupted either through emotional upset, physical trauma, poor diet, or stress.
The acupuncturist examines the underlying cause and its effect on the body, and then determines the most appropriate treatment.
The acupuncturists at our office are among the best in the United States, having spent cumulatively decades in the practice of this healing art.
